Not often I see any ducks perching in trees to be honest - interesting capture.
Nice one this is why they are called wood ducks, they build their nests in trees.

Haha, ducks in trees, a real head-scratcher!
This is a really beautiful shot! How did you get the soft blurred effect around the duck? Was that added in post or was there some grass or something in the close foreground? Anyway, I like it, as well as how those vivid blue feathers contrast nicely with the soft beige colors of the environment.

Once captured a mallard in a tree which was the only other time I’ve ever seen a duck in a tree.
