Wintry Arches Landscape

For lack of a better title.
I have never been able to re-create this picture. I think the Park Service employees took my little boulder away to the parking area. Or I just can't find it anymore...

But, then again, that's how photography is. You see a vision just once, and if you don't stop and take the picture it may be gone forever.

Just a wonderful scene. Snow and red rocks always works for me but the nice side lighting really finishes this off!

[Ben Egbert]

Very nice, I have dozens of Balanced Rock shots, but none with snow and this is much more than a dusting. I know what you mean shooting from here, roads, signs, and last time I was there people climbing the sides of Balanced Rock.

[Carlo Didier]

Beautiful! Wished I had had some snow when I was there. It makes such a great contrast to the red rocks.

Fabulous image, Craig. Nothing remains the same. Our images become more important than the original subject seemed to be at the time.

Hey Craig,

This is a really awesome shot! Very well conceived and shot.

Beautiful, Craig. Great use of the features (and that anchor).

Very nice, indeed, Craig! Love the color contrasts, and the depth into the bg is fantastic!

Congrats on your Featured Thread Craig!

Wonderful. Makes me homesick! Headed there next week Craig. Well done as always.

I like the snow and the red rocks - without footprints. Always a nice contrast. I have more than a couple of images of things that are no longer there but this one seems a little larger than most to lose track of

Funny Alan!

I was really referring to the bottom right rocks!
