After looking at Amy's FS images I thought I would do an experiment from the new Lensbaby in the cactus garden. Like Amy I tried some direct from the camera, one with a channel switch and minimal processing. One where I did apply the camera profile I created from a 590nm image.

#1 Direct from the camera, Lensbaby at f2.8

#2 Channel switch, and minimal processing and the IR camera profile added.

#3 Direct from camera.

#4 Minimal processing, no channel switch.

#5 Prickly Pear, direct from the camera.

#6 Minimal processing.

Hey Sonny, it looks like you are having fun with both the Full spectrum and the Lens Baby.

My favorites are #4 and 6. It’s interesting to seem them all, but those stand out not just from the processing but having part of the image in focus.

PS. Add #s with your descriptions please. It’s much easier to reference back with multiple photos :)

Oh yeah, doh! LOL Its fixed now.

Yes learning how to work the Lensbaby's unique glow below f5.6 will take a little practice. Plus I think if I would have used a tripod it would have worked better. As their recommendations is to compose you scene, focus at f5.6, then for the glow go through the lower fstops to find the desired effect.

This is great work with the Lensbaby. I'm not one to follow the crowd too often, but I have to agree #4 & 5 are my favorite too. However I enjoy the uniqueness of each one.
