Eric is out chasing warblers so here I am again. I owe most of my bird expertise to him and so I am going to post three birds from Magee Marsh in Ohio. Eric introduced me to these in May of 2017.

Blackburnian Warbler: One of the most sought-after warblers because of its beautiful markings.

Black-throated Green Warbler: Some names for birds don't make sense. That brownish-green on its head is what counts for the green in its name.

Yellow throated Vireo: The vireo family consists of some very pretty birds. This is one of them.

I am back to bugs for my wings this week with an unknown (to me) critter that flew in and photobombed my effort to shoot yarrow blooms. I originally thought it was a type of parasitic wasp but it has some kind of hard shell over the wings when it isn't flying so I think its part of the beetle family but I could find a match online to confirm an ID.
