Wildlife (birds) viewing opportunituies near Seattle

I haven't tried any right in the vicinity of Seattle but here is a link to a map of National Wildlife Refuges in the state of Washington:

To add to Alans suggestion.
Depending on what types of birds you are looking for, Puget sound is right there, taking a ferry across it will give you lots of chances to shoot all sorts of birds. Especially if you take a ferry that has a stop at one of the smaller islands. It would be a very fun way to spend a day. I know when I used to live in Washington, some times I would go up to Seattle just to go ride the ferrys. It was a very cheap form of entertainment for me.

You might look up in the Skagit Valley waterways for migrating waterfowl, and Eagles

@Tim ONeill : Yes the Eagles migration is coming. Soon I will be making my annual trip to photograph them.
