White Pockets

Went up to White Pockets on Sunday evening and the wind was really howling at 50-60 miles/hour gusts. Pretty awful! However, just before the sunset the wind eased up and I captured this image. Then slept in my car and the wind picked up again and continued through the whole night. Never got any morning images. Just got the heck out of there.

Unfortunate your shooting session was unpleasant but the shot you show here is a really nice take away from it. My biggest complaint about this image is the fact that it isn't mine :D

Very nice light and skies.

This is an exquisite image, Bob. It was definitely worth the effort. BTW, I don't know where this started but a lot of people are now calling this "White Pockets" but the actual name is White Pocket because it has the white sandstone over much of the area and is restricted to this area of the Paria Plateau.

Hey Bob, this is super cool looking! 50-60mph gusts of wind is not fun to shoot in at all, I am glad it eased up for you to get this one.

Definitely a winner and beats getting nothing out of a trip due to weather which has happened to me on a number of occasions.
