When Summer isn't

Another from back in 2009 when I visited Mt Rainier for some wonderful summer photos in July only to find everything still pretty snowy and icy.

This looks like Reflection Lakes area again - I recognize that dead snag almost directly in front of the peak in the background. Summers up at the altitude of the Paradise area are pretty short which gets even more apparent when you see all of the meadows covered in wildflowers - in late September. The only place I know of where spring and fall overlap and you have to decide which one to shoot

I like seeing the mountain with the snowy foreground.

I have to wait until July to even drive to the High Uintas in some years.
