What Rimes with Rhyme?

I am driving up to Montana, it's a quick 8 hour run up there for some clear skies and the Geminid Meteor shower. I will toss in some scouting and deep space Astro too hopefully.

Just as I crossed the Colorado border into Wyoming, I saw this cool looking tree covered in Rime ice alongside the I-70. It was a 30 minute u-turn by the time I could find an exit and get off on the side road. I think it was worth it as Rime Ice is something not seen much in Southern California.

Gee - who knew SoCal doesn't have rime ice?

This makes a nice B&W since most colors are missing in action with a scene like this anyway.

Ha ha... just added that in case someone has visited our beaches and palm trees in SoCal.

I almost kept it with the subdued colors as it looked nice, but ended up trying B&W and once I saw it I was hooked!
