Hey Ben, don’t count yourself out too soon as to your photo career! If the members here at FocalWorld have any say, you will have at least another 20 years of photography in you!

I think Drone is the thing of the future now as far as Photography is concern. I don't prefer Drone over the quality of DSLR/Mirrorless as far as the pictures but who knows.
Drones can provide certain angles we are unable to capture using a camera, especially for those who may not be into going into high places to capture a landscape from above or perhaps lack the gear to get up close to the subject. Maybe we can have a one man or even two men drone and take pics where no man have gone before...hehehehehe

Its a love/hate relationship. I'd love to try this as it opens up a whole new realm of perspectives. Hate it when these come in the way of what you shoot. Haven't tried it yet. I'd would have jumped into it if video was my thing though.

Sorry Alan, you are right about the drooling option! Now that I've had a taste I'm looking forward to the future when a 24-400mm zoom camera producing present medium format quality is in a tiny silent drone that can fly all day and can avoid all mid-air collisions automatically. Of course it will be at the price-point of present hobby drones.
