Weather resistant or not so much? An objective rating scale to finally end the hype

Imaging Resource is proposing creating a rating system to objectively measure what camera manufacturers mean when they say a camera system is water resistant and be able to give a rating to better assist buyers on the market for new gear. One proposed icon for identifying the weather resistance rating of a camera:

Thanks for the article Alan. All my cameras are more weather resistant than I am. Like I tell my wife, sugar melts in water.
