Located in the coastal rainforest, Sweet Creek is incredibly overgrown and not visible from the trail in quite a number of locations. This view of the creek and its rapids is normally blocked by the leaves of this alder tree in the foreground. It was still a partially blocked view of the creek but I decided to shoot the scene anyway to show off the fall colors along the banks in spite of the forest chaos.

The shutter speed is perfect Alan but the foreground tree is asking for a chainsaw

Excellent shutter speed choice for these cascading falls. I like your point of view for the second image - it brings out the little drops in the water flow.

Here are five small waterfalls along Wet Beaver Creek, where the creek flows over a ledge of sandstone. This ledge has joints in it which the flowing water has widened and deepened to create the small falls. This is a short distance from my home.

That is the waterfall they used in the filming of Jurassic Park. Its original mane was Manawaiopuna Falls but has been changed to Jurassic Fals since its fame in the movie. Nice image, Dan.

Possibly true but I decided to go the route of bringing out the details on it and making it a central subject instead. SOOC the tree was mostly dark until I teased out more light. Major portions of this trail have no view of the creek at all due to the dense vegetation so I decided to present the obscured view for what is really is rather than carve it up and pretend otherwise. You can hear falls and rapids on a lot of the trail but have no view of them at all. Normally this alder would completely block this view before most of the leaves fell off. It's not a dead tree.

Water demonstrating obedience to gravity - meets my definition One of my favorite rivers.
