Waterfall Wednesday 12/24/2025

We had a break in the rain for several hours on Monday so I ran up the Gorge to catch some shots of high water in the waterfalls. As usual the Gorge had its own weather and it was lightly raining when I got up to the area with Wahkeena and Multnomah Falls. The showers turned out to be spotty and after a few minutes broke off just long enough for me to sneak in a brief flight to try to shoot the falls. There were a bunch of low clouds that blocked the view of the whole falls but I decided to grab some shots anyway. From what I could see there was a lot of water coming over the edge of the Gorge. This one is a single frame at 168mm.

Pile on with whatever falling water you have.

Very nice small scene from that complex of waterfalls. Excellent choice for shutter speed.

Beautifully done! Most time I see logs in waterfalls they seem to distract from the scene; this one adds to it.

I like the contrast of the red rocks in the river with the fall leaves and the water. Neat scene.
