My falls for this morning are a familiar venue with a scene along the Sweet Creek trail in the Oregon Coast Range. No name for these falls but they are one of my favorite views along the trail with the nicely symmetrical cascades. From last fall around this same time.

That's a very cool falls Alan, the fall colors are a nice touch.

I better see what waterfall photos I have on my iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Least Falls, Skye. The images from my visit to Skye early October. My wife was working in Mull and I dropped her at the ferry terminal before driving North to Skye. The weather was terrible, poor light and heavy rain. One of the good things about modern IT is the ability to get live weather radar anerered I saw that Northern Skye had little or no rain. In the end there was the briefest spell of weak sunshine. Least Falls comprise a set of 3 falls totalling 300ft of drop. Really a morning shot but my morning had been spent trying to get images at Sligachan but only getting very wet.
Top Falls only added to complete the set

The middle falls are just visible at the right hand side. I was drawn to the central falls that are usually no more than a trickle. As you can see the first signs of Autumn. The first 2 images are handheld. I can now manage 1/3s with a fair degree of success. However the wind was blowing the foliage a lot.

The bottom falls, probably 100ft+ I couldn't get to my usual position in the middle of the stream without risking being swept out to sea which is about 200ft behind me.

Lastly the bottom falls again but this time at 1/2000s

Spectacular waterfall display Ken - #2 almost looks like a drone shot from such a high viewpoint. You ran into a problem I have often in the Gorge near me - trying to get a good long shutter open image of the water flow without a lot of blurred vegetation due to the winds that the waterfall kicks up. It's interesting how much different the bottom falls look with the high shutter speed compared to the slower version. I think I prefer the slower shutter version since you can see the various cascades in the waterfall path a bit better. Nice work.

I love the hue of the glacier meltwater in this scene. Is this the confluence of two rivers or just an island just upstream from the falls? Either way it makes a compelling image.
Thanks, Alan. It is just an island upstream. The most common composition shows the whole island. But you know me, stay away from the overdone image.
