Hard to believe it's October already. I visited Mt. Rainier National Park last week and spent some time shooting more waterfalls at first when the skies were too smoky to get good views of the mountain. I visited several falls along Paradise Creek the afternoon I arrived and in the case of Ruby Falls shown here decided that a morning visit in the shade would offer more optimal lighting for the scene. This time of year is when the lowest flows of water occur as we get to the end of our dry season but that also means we get more interesting views of the water flowing over the rocks. In the springtime this will be pretty much a huge firehose without all the more delicate cascades.

Add in whatever you have with falling water displays.

Nice one Alan. Mine is from North Cascades. I don't believe it has a name.

Falls don't really need names if you think about it :) When you look at the terrain in the Cascades there are probably hundreds (if not more) of waterfalls in inaccessible locations that don't have names - only the ones that are easy to access. I like these.
