War on a Yucca Plant

When the yucca buds open they release a syrup like material that attract ovids, which in turn attracts other bugs and so on. Look at this image full size and

Now I have seen Yucca's for years, and seen their buds and flowers, but had never realized that there was such an intense battle going on! Great capture Larry.

Thanks Jim; this all started when I watched a crab spider waiting for a lady bug to get close enough for it to grab the lady bug. As I focused in and out
on the stalk I noticed another war in process. The more I looked the more battles I saw and uncovered a near invisible war going on in plain sight!
