Walton Lighthouse (Santa Cruz, CA) at sunset

It was an overcast week along Monterey & Santa Cruz coast in mid May. No colors at sunset on all the days I was there. Ended up shooting images with B&W processing in mind. Here is an image of the beautiful lighthouse in Santa Cruz shot about 30 minutes before sunset.

I like the B&W treatment here as well as the point of view for the lighthouse. Nice DoF as well.

There is a noticeable tilt to the left that I find a bit distracting. An easy fix in either Lightroom or Photoshop since the base of the lighthouse is a good level plane.

Huge thanks for your insightful comments.

1. DoF - I should have mentioned it. It was a 4-image focus stack (stacked using Zerene Stacker).

2. I just noticed the tilt after u mentioned it. Huge thanks. You saved me $ (as I was going to make a large print of the image). Really appreciate it.

The focus stack worked really well for this scene.

Hey Murali, This is awesome! I really like how you worked that foreground. It adds some cool secondary interest.
