Waiting Out the Storm

High in the mountains and a serious thunder and lightning storm had moved in. I spotted this guy and he wasn't about to move. So we watched each other...

Probably worth mentioning that I believe this is a Dark-morph Red-tailed Hawk, which is a more unusual coloring.

It's funny, when they make movies they often insert the Red-tail call in place for a bald eagle because it's so much cooler. Eagles don't talk much.
