It's always fun when a bloom pops out somewhere that wasn't planned or expected. In this case a nice little violet showed up in the middle of nowhere in our garden. As best I can tell my wife never planted them at all so no clue where the seed for this one even came from but it looked to me like a portrait was in order. The image here is considerably larger than life as the bloom is less than an inch across.

Thanks Michael - The most common volunteers I am used to finding are tomatoes. No clue where this specimen came from.
