Unable to move an edited image in DNG/RAW from iPhone to Dropbox

I am running iOS18.1 beta on my iPhone15 Pro. I can send an unedited DNG image to Dropbox with no issues. But if I make a minor edit (e.g. crop the image to a square), the Photo app only sends a JPG of the image. Is there a way to send it in RAW/DNG with the edit? Or should I use an app like LR? Need your guidance. Thanks in advance.

The article here implies you cannot send/share a RAW image edited with the photo app in the RAW format. I treat the phone just like the camera and push the RAW images to my Dropbox account and import them into LrC.
