Twilight Tranquility

Here is one from a few weeks ago back at Death Valley. It was one of those peaceful, quiet and tranquil evenings. This is Mesquite Dunes.

Simply gorgeous image, Jim. Orion's Belt with a perfect mixture of light and color. Some night images are awesome on screen, but hard to print and display, I think this one would work in any media.

Sweeeeet - I can feel my blood pressure dropping just gazing into this scene. I did some night shooting on my only visit to DV but it was with a lot of moonlight out on the Badwater flats so very few stars. This is the kind of shooting I had in mind when I originally wanted to head that direction in February right before all the storms hit.

Nice imageJim. Normally the ground light on the horizon affects Astro images negatively. In this case it works harmoniously.
