Trona Pinnacles Wildflowers

We spent an afternoon at the pinnacles. Driving to the pinnacles from the main road was both fun & crazy. Luckily, we had a 4x4. Wildflowers were everywhere.

Impressive blooms - this year is turning out to be quite the show on the desert floor.

The Trona Pinnacles is one of my favorite places to go. It's about 4 hours from my home in SoCal, so I do try to get there every year. It has lot's of wildflowers, and for a semi popular location doesn't get too crowded.

I almost went there 2 nights ago for the Milky Way, but I ended up going to the Alabama Hills instead.
