Ken, very beautiful valley landscapes you have shared—and I thank you for doing so! I cannot choose a favorite—both are well created compositions. I love the light and shadows captured in each. The stormy sky in the first adds drama to the first image. Nice. I also love the green forest and field below the jagged peaks above in the second image—including the stone building adds a bit of color to the scene. Very nice. From last month’s trip to Northern Spain. Ken View attachment 89486View attachment 89487
Alan, beautiful valleys you’ve posted—thank you! I especially love the blues of the Columbia River Gorge—gorgeous! (Sorry, had too!) I favor the John Day River Valley as well—a wonderful landscape and good composition. The Snake River is another interesting composition—love all the layers! A definite favorite is the Gros Ventre River valley for its winding stream and rocky banks, colorful autumn trees, rounded hills, and clouds of blue above. The North Fork of the Smith River is another very nice capture. The foreground hill and valley below, and the winding river bank certainly adds motion to the composition. The far mountains of evergreens and autumn trees complete this beautiful image. Again thanks for these images today!A few river valleys from my stash.

Larry, excellent valley landscapes you shared—and it is much appreciated! I especially favor your wonderful B&W Monument Valley landscapes! I really like the Mitten and the Tree image, an interesting and very well composed. Very nice and my favorite. I also favor your first Monument Valley image. I love the snow captured in this image and this really works well in B&W. Very nice. The Valley of Fire panorama is gorgeous and this composition definitely captures is splendor. I also like the Colorado National Monument landscape, especially with the shadows cast across the scene. I’m betting the colorful Meadow Lake is popular with landscape photographers—and fishermen too! A beautiful scene well captured.A few from my archive:

Jameel, four perfect and beautiful landscapes featuring valleys! Thank you for sharing them with us. The first image, Blue Valley is a gorgeous sunset, I love the limited color palette below. Very nice! The Valley View image is perfect in composition and capture. I love the water, the mist, the clouds in this capture—wonderful image and my favorite! (I keep scrolling back to it!) Valley of Fire is a wonderful composition too, and the gorgeous evening sky adds so much to this perfect capture. I also love your last image, Monument Valley, another well-timed capture. I love the mitten shadow on the more distant mitten. I like the sky occupying much of this composition, this works well.A few from my stash. Some of the locations have already been taken.
