Thursday’s Task: Small bodies of water in the landscape—ponds, creeks, or streams. Due to electrical breaker box replacement Thursday, I won’t see or comment on Thursday’s Task until Friday.
My examples below:

Here are a few from my archive. ;)

Three beautiful examples Larry—very nice! Perhaps my favorite is your first image, but it’s by a small margin because they are all great “small bodies of water” landscapes. Thank you for sharing!

Interesting task John and as usual a creative image to lead in. I could find a few.

Wow! Jameel, beautiful examples you’ve shared. The Dead Horse Point State Park image is so very, very nice! Love it! The sunset at Mt. St. Helens and the Mt. Baker images are also very well composed and captured. The last image of the small body of water has a very nice appeal to it—I’m glad you included it!

In Cumbria we have the Norse word "Tarn" for small bodies of water.

This is just some flooding in a field.

Still in Cumbria, a couple of flooded slate quarries.

Lastly a very small Roman quarry beside Hadrian's Wall in nearby Northumberland.

Ken, thank you for sharing these beautiful “tarn” images—I learn something every day (hopefully)! Blea Tarn and the Cumbria images are very, very nice—especially the second flooded slate quarry (perfect composition). Perhaps my favorite is the Roman quarry, a beautiful landscape in all regards.

Good topic and lots of nice examples. You didn't say the water had to be flat :)

Alan, nice set of small bodies of water—flat or not so much! 😊 Love the Latourell Falls image—works well in B&W! The Black Opal Pool and the Sunset over Vancouver Lake are also candidates for my favorites as well. Thank you for sharing!

Kyle, very special images you’ve shared—each are well composed and captured. It’s difficult to choose a favorite—so I won’t! The Norway tide pool is a beautiful landscape, the Iceland cave capture is unique and a great choice. I especially like the Wave rain puddle—good capture! Thanks for sharing all these gorgeous images.

John is so creative with the intro slide for this challenge I thought I would, out of desperation, give some 'out of the box' images of very small bodies of water in the landscape.

If it is cold enough and no wind you can blow bubbles on the snow and they will freeze.

Here is a picture of my daughter throwing boiling water into the air when it is -40 deg. The water freezes instantly into foggy droplets and drops to the ground.

I love your thoughtful selection of images you’ve shared! Great very cold “small bodies of water” images in your first two photos. I’ve never experienced that “degree” of cold as shown—but I’m very happy to see your experiences and images! I like your very small body of water in your last image too!
