Okay John, here are two.

This first one might be "stretching" it a bit as a pano, but I hope it works. (Huntington Beach, CA)

Working off of Alan's Vertical theme, I give you vertical diamonds.... From an area not far from the Fire Wave, but one I haven't seen many wonder too. (It's a bit small, but it's from 2012 and my smaller vertical days)

Jim, your coastal pano certainly works—love the sky and its reflection in the foreground wave, very nice! The second image is beautiful—that foreground creates an interesting composition.

Three great photos. That Wadi Turkmaniya photo made me do a double-take. I did check my medication to be sure the pharmacist didn't slip in a recreational drug by accident

The sandstone in the Petra area tends to make folks stop and stare a lot. That little exposure is about 80' up a cliff wall along the wadi but I had a 100mm lens with me that day. This was long before I could afford something like a zoom lens as a grad student in the 1970's.
