USS Clamagore (SS-343) is a Balao-class submarine, presently a museum ship at the Patriot's Point Naval & Maritime Museum in Charleston, South Carolina. Built in 1945 for the United States Navy, she was still in training when World War II ended.

Awesome Jeff! I love these tunneled pathway shots like this. The B&W removes the distraction color might bring and lets the eye just travel along the shot.

Thanks Jim! I have no idea how taller dudes could operate on these subs without a helmet, ha. I'm only 5'9 and a lot of places were cramped for even me!

Can't really imagine spending a few months at sea in something that cramped. I do like the image and agree with Jim that B&W suits this subject well.

Thanks Alan! And as someone who is slightly claustrophobic - NO THANKS!;)

Great image, and great history here. What a tough live those submariners had.
Cheers Ben! I can't imagine it being a ton of fun in that sardine tin.

I like this.
Thanks Leslie, I'm happy that you like it!

I almost became a submariner, but instead spent a few years on the beach in Greece. I think I made the best choice ;).

An excellent portrayal of the space these guys had to live and work in, with most areas of the boat even tighter. Thanks for sharing.
