Thousand Step Beach

I took this the other day, it is probably 60% video and 40% timelapse, but I think it works. As I mentioned before, I don't think tradition timelapse captures the fast paced wave splashes at the ocean well. At least I don't like the look of it. Perhaps I will discover the sweet spot later, but for now I think the power of the actual video can convey it best.

This is all done from the GoPro Hero 7 Black.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

PS. This is in 4k. If the first 10 to 15 seconds look blotchy, just wait as YouTube will shift to the 4k mode in about 11 seconds. Otherwise, change your YouTube resolution in the setup button to play it at 720p for a short bit and then switch back to Auto mode for 4k.

Good one Jim. I could probably cut off the road crossing and start with the steps. The speed of your TL sections looks spot on to me, much better than the last one. Liked the music.

Thanks Ben. I agree a part of me would cut that out if I was going for more of just a Timelapse. So I had that same thought.

This one is more than in the realm of a travel guide, and if you watch all of the popular ones on YouTube they have longer intros where the host talks and makes small talk in the beginning before getting into the heart of the video.

I have a whole bunch of travel guide videos I have captured over the last 2 years that I am going to start working on putting together once I get back to Colorado later in the week.
