This Morning's Colors

It was worth getting out of bed a bit early today to catch the sunrise colors over Mt. Adams and the Cascades. This is a quick edit of one of the many captures I grabbed from over my house. Single frame at 166mm with a 16:9 crop.

Thanks Doug - I wish I could get great color palettes most mornings but I do take advantage of the situation when I do get a good one. This morning's haul was around 160 images including several panorama sequences

A big piece to the puzzle is what things look like from the air - I never had really photogenic scenes from my house in Salt Lake City but in hindsight I could have shot some amazing sunsets from 400' above my yard. Sunrises would have been a bust but sunsets with a telephoto to reach out beyond the City would have been nice.

Thanks Jim - if I had known what the views looked like from this airspace I would have bought a drone a long time before I actually did. Its hard to fully anticipate what the views from above really look like until you get up into the air.
