From a visit to some ancestral grounds recently.
These were taken with my Canonet, on TMAX 400

These two young men, brothers, died as young men, one just before 21, the other about 26.
They were son's of my Great-Great Grandfather.

How interesting Dan. B&W of course is a great choice for old grave stones. #2 is my favorite of the 2 compositions.

Are these in an abandoned grave yard? Do you know why they died so young?

A few years back on a visit to Scotland I was able to visit a family area in a graveyard there, it was very interesting to see old relatives.

Ben, Looking at the dates online, I see they were born after the Civil War.
At 21 & the other at 26, probably something like whooping cough or the flu were often fatal.
I did have relatives that fought in the Civil War. One died in battle, the other in Andersonville prison

Thanks
