The Wide View (test)

I was thinking that the landscape forum doesn't do justice to panoramic images because of the global the 1200px width perimeters, which actually is a good thing for most photos. Jim suggested loading the image into a gallery and then linking to the forum...Hence this post.
This image is dumbed down to 3000 x 674px

So it maintains the 1200px maximum size here, if you click on the image and that takes you to the original gallery and there you can launch the expanded view.

It seems to work Zeph. Granted it's 2 clicks to get to the original with the wider view, but it does allow for a wider and larger pano display.

BTW, this is a nice pano! :)

Could the two click option be available from within the forum?

Nice pano - I have never seen that raking pattern before at the Gardens before. Looks stunning on my 4K screen :)

Nice pano and a good way to display it here. But my experience is that a pano needs to be printed to be truly appreciated.

Yes, printing big is the best option:)
It's my belief that the true test of any post production work, is in print form.

Agreed, and many prints that are great printed large are not that great at web size, at least to my mind. Panos more closely approach the way we actually see in person, but are hard to present on any sort of monitor that I know of.
