The Tower Rises Above the Storm

From the Devils Tower a month ago. I had lot's of fun with my Nikon D7100 590nm IR camera. I liked the look of this IR when I converted it to B&W.

This is a pretty neat result for IR/B&W. I like what appears to be selective light at the bottom of the curved slope of the tower and the stormy skies above.

Yeah, the storm was breaking up and so the tower was getting periodically hit by the some light. It made for some nice spotlighting at times.

The tower definitely appears more foreboding from up close than from a distance. The dark clouds add to the feeling.

Thanks Michael. It definitely shrinks fast when moving away from it. The clouds were really cool to have.
