Thank you Jim!Hi Andrey,
Welcome to FocalWorld! It's great to see you here.
And a newbie you may be here, but you do have some really sweet water shots in your archive!
I do like the blue/gold contrast here. I like that little bit of pour off next to the gold, and I like the water action. The blown sun I think is the first thing visually the mind thinks about. And since its the sun, sometimes it's fine to let it blow out an area because we know the sun is bright.I wonder though what this same scene looked like either jut as the sun was coming down below the cloud, or just as it was starting to get blocked by the horizon?
Jim
Hey Alan!Andrey - welcome aboard. I like the reflected sunlight and the water textures.
There are some interesting elements in this image that you might be able enhance by cropping this down a bit. The right hand side of the image doesn't have that much in it and if you brought that edge over to at least the edge of the big cloud in the upper right and maybe crop some of the sky down to the same cloud you can bring the focus of the scene closer to the sunlight and the better parts of the water features.
I like you more man!Peanut Gallery Post
I like it how it is, you've got all kinds of stuff going on with this image. Sure my eye wanders around for something to center on, but the cascade in the center and the foreground reflection, the stop motion wave all keeps me interested. Regardless of what Jim says, a blown out sun is naturally blown out.
Hey Ben!Welcome to the forum, this is a great shot, I love the whole thing.
