This is a southbound view of the Cottonwood Canyon Highway in Southern Utah. Early spring in this case with crisp air and widely scattered snow flurries. The scene caught my eye for it's stunningly stark presentation of the almost completely naked visible geology.
On the left is the base of the Kaiparowits Plateau and on the right is a formation known as the Cockscomb. The far end of the road is a couple of miles away.
