The Mountains around Maligne Lake.

The scenery around Maligne Lake is almost unbelievable. It almost screams "take a panorama." So here are two which actually could connect. The mountains on the left side of the first one connect to the right side of the one below it. They were taken at different times and in different light.

Wow - those mountains are breathtaking and even more so with the accompanying lake and atmospherics. Better as two images than one wide one - much easier for us to appreciate the details on our monitors. This would make a great wall sized print as a single panorama.

Thanks so much, Alan. After I saw the two panoramas, I thought the same thing, but I couldn't stitch these two together because of the change in the water color and they weren't shot at the same focal length. I guess I will just have to go back and do the complete panorama, but it might be tough to get the great atmospherics.

Hey Doug,

Hindsight can be a pain sometimes. :) It's almost funny that you did get both of these images in a pretty similar focal length at different times and with enough overlap to make a pano. Perhaps with scaling you could scale one up a bit and the other down a bit and get them to stitch, but as you mentioned the water color especially would just never work with the light making the water look different shades.

I suppose.... you could select the water in one of them, and then use the Color Mixer to get the color to match the other. But then one of the images the water also looks more choppy. It's a fun thought.

You could print them seperately and then hang them next to each other? So perceptually they would create a larger pano?

Anyway, great shots in both of these. I am sure jealous!
