On our stop in York, Martin took Carlo and me through the National Railway Museum. Being an old rail from my college days, this was a wonderful experience for me!
The colors they put on their trains was something to see.
First I'll show is The Mallard, originally built in 1938, and for a time the fastest steam locomotive in the world, clocking 125.88 MPH! Not her normal operating speed, of course!
The train was polished to a lovely shine!
