The Itsy Bitsy Aurora - Timelapse

I had 1 camera pointed South for the Milky Way, and 1 camera pointed North for the possibility of some marginal Northern Lights. This is from the Nikon D850 which was pointed North. The Northern Lights didn't cover the whole sky, but for me they showed up enough to add a nice touch to the night sky. It's also nice that it caught the north end of the Milky Way. It's weaker then the core, but perhaps because it's so dark up there on Cinnamon Pass, at 12,620 feet above sea level that the weak end of the Milky Way even looked bright. And then I expected it to totally disappear when the moon rose, but it didn't. The moon was at 33% which certainly helped so it didn't wash out the sky too much.

I think I rambled too much. This is from Cinnamon Pass in SW Colorado on the Alpine Loop. A 4x4 is required to get here. I am at 12,620 feet, so the air is thin but the views are awesome.

It's pretty sickening to watch in that aspect. So many starlink satellites constantly going along the horizon. It just saddens me how 1 person can ruin the night sky for millions of other people.
