The influence of light...edit added

I went to check and see how Harriman was coming along last night at a location I am planning a few images. The sunset sky was throwing off a beautiful pink hue so I thought I might see what would happen . I had set up to shoot a long exposure and as luck would have it I had a few visitors during the shot. The mother stood still long enough for a fairly sharp capture but the babies would not stop moving . Since there is some nice color already developing along the shore line I guess will count this as my first fall image in the park. All comments welcome and thanks for viewing, regards, Dean

Interesting hue. Which Harriman is this? Seems to be a popular name for parks from the west coast to the east coast.

This is the Harriman State Park in New York in the Lower Hudson Valley. I know we don't have to many representing the North East here maybe myself and Bart but if there are others and need info on the park feel free to message me .

As much as I believe that it is the result of the pink sunset, the pink hue is coming through a little too strong for me. I really like the vertical lines of the trees and reflection. Looks like a nice spot!

Very unique capture.
As about pink, I am surprised with the intensity of the color, but rather with the still blue patterns on the water.

Hey Dean,

That is a cool scene you captured, the deer add a nice touch. I was thinking also that the pink cast was a little strong. Maybe it's just our eyes and brains aren't used to a color cast like that? I would be interested in seeing a version where the pink cast was cut by 50% and see what it feels like.

Thanks everybody fro the comments and feedback.
Here is a version with the intensity of the cast dialed back.
Sasha-the blue patterns in the water are the tops of the water lily they have turned sort of a purple green this time of year I suppose the angle has cause them to appear to be more blue ?
