The Fist, Bryce Canyon, Utah

I don’t know if this imposing hoodoo has an official name – I haven’t been able to find one on the National Park map – but I’ve always called it the Fist. When illuminated by low, late afternoon sunlight and captured in infrared, it can stand out dramatically against its background.

Tech info: Nikon D3200 camera (modified for infrared with 590nm filter), Nikon 18-140mm lens at 140mm, 1/1600 sec. at f8, ISO 200.

I am not sure if it has a name either, the Fist certainly fits it Jim. This is some really nice IR work you have done here.
