The Fallen

A toppled hoodoo shows just how fragile the otherworldly desert environment is at Arizona's Blue Canyon. This area is actually on the Hopi Indian reservation and, from what I've been told, one can only legally visit with a Hopi guide nowadays (I shot this 8-9 years ago). I captured this late in the day as a storm was approaching so I was keen on getting outta there as the clay roads would soon become impassible.

Hi Guy,

That is great color contrast between the blue storm clouds and the late evening light on the hoodoos.

Hey Guy,

Very cool. The composition is set up so well with the fallen hoodoo. I like the light in this it looks great.

I live the mood in this image! Very nice! I love the lighting and the storm on the horizon.
