The End of the Day

The sun made an appearance yesterday afternoon just in time for a few nice colors at sunset. I decided it might be worthwhile to see what I might be able to get from an aerial perch and sent my drone up to check out the view. The color show was surprisingly brief given how it started out but that was still worthwhile. The river wetlands were showing why they are called wetlands with the Columbia swollen from the recent rains. Apparently there is quite a bit more rain coming next week so its a good time to be living on high ground.

Nice sunset with a sunstar to boot. Looks nice on the 32" monitor.

Its been pretty drab around here - although with a break in the rains today and it is back in action starting tomorrow.

Thanks Jameel - we have been mostly gray but I always keep an eye out for any signs of color near sunset time. Last night started out like there might be a serious color show but it fizzled out quite early. I was expecting a much longer show with this cloud structure but something beyond the horizon snuffed the colors out not long after I took this set. We are back to rain again starting tomorrow with a rather wet week ahead.
