The Ducks at Mirror Lake

This is a 500mm view of some of the swans and ducks that lurk at Mirror Lake in the Columbia River Gorge. Same lake I posted a view of yesterday but this time shooting at 500mm to focus on the waterfowl. From what I have been able to identify there are the Tundra Swans, a pair of Mallards gliding in for a landing behind, Hooded Mergansers, and I think Common Goldeneyes swimming around amongst the swans. I want to go back and shoot this place again with my 2x extender so can get a better view of the local inhabitants.

I like this. That 500mm did a great job. And there is a lot going on in this scene, I like that you have the duck coming in for a landing there in the back as well.

Thanks Jim - there are actually two ducks coming in for a landing with one over on the left but it's hard to make out. I want to reshoot this with 1000mm.
