The Ateries of the Earth

I was out at Factory Butte last night doing Deep Space Astro and Timelapse's, this morning I couldn't resist running over to Skyline Overlook. :) Not a soul in sight and it had warmed up to 30, so I got the DJI Mini 2 out for some photos and videos.

It was a great morning, the only thing missing was Ben.

Wish I could have been there Jim, but hopefully warmer than 30. This is a great example of the terrain out there. Good title.

Thanks Ben. 30 felt so awesome! :) it had gotten down to 23 during the night as I was out of the 4Runner a lot checking on imaging and batteries. I really need to pick up one of those 1000 watt batteries, but they cost a fortune. I have some smaller ones that I have to keep an eye out on and swap once in a while during the night.

Winter can be hard on batteries. I always felt like I needed more even with my RV.

I like your shot. Drones are meant for this :)

Thanks Alan.

Yeah, as my Astro rig grows, so does it power requirements. Which becomes more of an issue as I set up my Astro gear in some pretty remote places that for some reason don't have 110v power outlets.... I mean what are they National Parks thinking.... ;)

One of the advantages when I had my RV - I did have 110V outlets and a generator if I ran down the house battery bank. You can't run a generator at night in a National Park however.

That would be a very nice advantage!
