The Anza Bouquet + Edit from Doug

Doug was out at Anza Borega State Park in California recently, and his photos are truly awesome! If you haven't seen them, scroll down in the Landscape Section and you will be in for a treat. I don't believe mine are anywhere near as good as his are, but here is one I will share.

I had some clouds that evening, it made for a kind of nice sunset, but most of the clouds were to the west, and with this composition I had to face north where there were no clouds. I think it still looks okay.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

A lovely bouquet at that - a bit dark but beautiful colors.
Thanks Alan. You are right it is a bit dark. That's been happening a bit, I need to check my calibration I think, or something isn't right. Viewing this now on my iPhone it does seem dark.

You monitor has gone over to the Dark Side. You might want to check your calibration as you have been a bit dark on several images lately.

Yeah, I have to see. It used to switch automatically from brighter, to darker depending on whether I was editing photos or playing games.

How is the edit? Better?

Yes - but you could bring up the shadows a bit to add some kick to the purples and yellows.

Nice view and the edit looks much better. Have to agree with Alan about pushing the shadows a notch to make the wildflowers pop.
