Teton Views

Well, actually, the first is facing east, away from the Tetons, but the light was so good, that I had to stop to shoot as I was walking down the ridge to find a vantage point facing the Tetons.

A classic sunrise fizzled out due to the heavy clouds to the east (as well as obscuring the Tetons).

The view to the east made up for the one facing west. I do like the slice of sunshine at the top of the foreground aspen grove. Looks like it helped out with the trees out in the valley even if it did fizzle out on the peaks.

Yeah, I was disappointed that there was no alpenglow. I thought that the 2nd one was boring but acceptable. The shot I took after this one showed the nearly perfect horizontal line of the ridge behind where the sun was rising behind & it just looked.........weird, or off or something.

Both are really cool Monica. Good job on turning around to follow the light show in the sky. And #2 is nice, good job on lining those aspen in front.
