Symphony

This photo is labeled Seal Rocks in Oregon, but it seems to me it's from Cape Perpetua. Alan? Maybe you can ID the location?

Anyway, I do recall on this particular day that it felt like a symphony was playing as the waves would come up and smash and create these large wave splashes. The mist from the splashes was causing me to wipe off the front of my lens about once a minute.

I just checked some images I have from the south side of the inlet to Cape Perpetua and it looks just like your shot here albeit at a slightly higher tide level. When the waves are breaking this area is one of the nicer places to hang out and watch the show.

This is actually pretty low water compared to my usual coast visitation seasons but it makes an attractive comp without all the foam flying around.
