Another one from the USS Yorktown! This one is for @Ben Egbert to satisfy the his engineering side's desire for equality.:D

Similar perspective as the Phantom, but this is an F-14A Tomcat (glad I took pics of the placards while I was out there!;))

Thanks for looking and all C&C is quite welcome!

Oh yes, this satisfies my engineering instincts. Man I would have loved to be the designer of that engine, or more at least a member of the design team.

I figured that one would scratch your itch! I bet you would have fit right in with those guys, whereas I would be asking for a calculator to figure out 2+2.:D

Nice - did someone spill their milkshake at the bottom of the frame? I hated math until calculators came along.

Very cool shot! This could be taken for any number of things, not necessarily a jet engine. With the central spokes, my first reaction was a giant full wheel hub cap, back in the day.:)

Very nice Jeff!

I liked the off center one, but I think I will gravitate towards this one a bit more!

I believe that is a patch repair job.

Thanks Barry!! That's one thing I really like about abstract shots - you can really let the viewer's mind wander.:D

There is a really nice, comfy feeling with the balance of symmetry! Off-center can be more jarring, albeit just as interesting.:)

Thanks Jim!

Looks like something from a Deathstar, but then, I guess it is. Great shot.
Thanks Mike! After seeing the armament that these puppies were loaded with I do not doubt that they were capable of living up to that moniker when it was fully-operational.
