Here is mine, 100-400 f4.5 +1.4X 560 mm on Canon 5DSR using tripod and gimbal. ISO100 1/125. Not too impressed, the atmosphere was not real clear.

edit. I assumed this was a post for super moons, if I am wrong, just say and I will delete this. Yours is very nice by the way.

Both look well done to me.

Thanks! I didn’t start this as a corporate post but that’s a good idea and I’d love to see more postings. I rarely shoot the night sky, our humid atmosphere here in the SE makes it difficult. Tonight is unusually clear and I took advantage of it... Mike

Both look technically fine to me, although the hand held shot isn't quite as crisp (perhaps a bit more contrast). I prefer a landscape with the moon in it, so find it tough to line one up (PhotoPills helps).

This is one of my best in that respect, shot a few miles from my house last year. I didn't see the birds flying above the trees until I got home and started processing.

Hey Mike and Ben, you both have nice shots of the super moon. I didn't get to shoot it last night as I was getting back in from Utah, but I did shoot it the night before and it was sure looking super then. It wasn't full, but looked super cool. I will have to see if I can do a quick edit on one and post it here.

Hey Jim, I will shoot the moon by itself once in a while, but shooting it like you got it with some landscape elements is my preferred choice, and how I will shoot it most of the time. Nice work with this. What caused you to choose B&W for this?

Wow, the stars (well, Moon) really lined up for you in this shot. I really like the layered lighting on the foreground and you still managed to get detail in the Moon. No exif data but the shutter speed had to be quick to stop those birds. This would look great as a very large print... Mike
