I don't ski so we just took the lift to explore and see the view. It was really really cold.

Ski lifts are always cold since you are so exposed to the winds. You are supposed to get warm by skiing down (I used to ski)

And carrying a full bag of camera gear and tripod is not even close to being easy while you are trying to negotiate the runs..... That's point and shoot territory.
