Hi Pete - Being there was what was special... I try to set my focal point to one third or so into the foreground (FG=100 - 200 feet) of course that depends on how close the most immediate object is. Check THIS Link (Hyperfocal Distance)
To my wife's credit, she piled the small rocks on the rock in the lower left.
