sunset Sailing

I see a landscape shot that happens to have a boat in it. Certainly fits here for my eyes :)

The foreground seems a bit on the bright side compared to the rest of the scene. It looks neat but it's pulling my focus down from the rest of the scene.

Apart from over-processing, the composition is pretty weird, it looks like its about the pole in the middle, no to mention the overwhelming FG and screaming weed on the right, to sum it up, i would move to the right and get a clean composition of the sunset, boat, and FG, which i assume you intended in the first place, lees is more.
Good luck.

I can't disagree at all, There is something I like about this image and I'm trying to force the bad comp! Well here is a little bit off dialing back the processing, and a bit of a crop.

Much better, but a purist would say not to cut off that tower. I might just go in and clone the top to provide a bit of sky between the top and the edge of the image.

Thank you Ben. I tried twice and I failed, I was having trouble making the edge look good. I'll eventually have another go at it.

Hey Joe, since I have been off of the grid for a few days in Colorado it’s intersting to come back and follow the dialogue. It’s been great to see the feedback and good job on your part working through the edits. I do like your finished edit, the photo tells a very nice story.

Great job on the edit - not sure I would have gone to the trouble.
Thank you Jim. I would agree more if I had more experiance , But this is part of me pushing boundries to learn. I'd rather learn on medicore shots then miss out on a great shot!
