Sunrise, Sunset...

Howdy everyone. First post here. Had a nice time on one day a few weeks back taking some sunrise pics and sunset pics. The sunset was taken from near the top of Whiteside Mountain in NC. Whiteside mountain is the dominant subject in the sunrise shot. The sunset fizzled before the end, but it still a nice day.

The sunrise is really nice - nice colors and light with the low clouds providing a good sense of depth to the scene. The sunset is nice but the first image keep my attention longer.

That's a fine first post. I like the idea of the east / west comparison. I'd consider a crop of both to a pano. Even though #1 would be out of balance with all the height on the left, it could also be cropped on the right equi-distant between the sun and the edge, and the color in the sky could serve as the balance.

Of course. I was not sure whether to use my real name as my user name or not. I have used "Luvwine" on several other forums, so thought it made sense to continue with that, but since I started water marking my photos (yes, I probably need a better design), I have give up any semblance of anonymity.

As for your username, i agree a lot of people will recognize you as Luvwine. I would suggest just going into your profile and edit your Signature to your real name. That will be the best of both worlds.
